Have you seen our Talk to… forums?
They’re a space on Boards.ie where you can talk to the companies interacting there. You can ask them questions, suggest improvements to their products or services, make customer service queries and get help and advice.
They also allow the companies interacting to get feedback from those they engage with, to be seen to respond quickly and promptly to respond to their customers, to announce new products or services, to run competitions and promotions and the like.
They’re a feature of the site that I’m very very proud of.
Interacting there are:
Blacknight – Michele and team from “Ireland’s leading domain registration and hosting provider” will take any questions you have.
Komplett.ie – The team over at Komplett.ie are excellent at answering questions, advising and handling your customer service needs.
Richersounds.ie – John and his team work hard to bring you the best offers, advice and news in home entertainment.
Vodafone Ireland – Kelly and Paul will be happy to answer your queries about the Vodafone service.
Magnet Entertainment – Rory will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Pix.ie – Marcus, a long time member of our photography forum, answers questions about his great photo sharing website.
Techcentral – currently running a competition for the Toys 4 Big Boys event, Craig and the editor of PC Live! Magazine are there to talk to you.
Gamesnash.ie – Another long time Boards.ie member, Pat will advise and help on any games consoles and accessories you may need.
Elara.ie – Kin from Elara seems to be permanently on hand to respond to any questions you might have
TheCostumeShop.ie – Looking for the ideal costume for your party or event? Ronan is there to help you.
WhoseView.com – new kid on the block, Michael shares reviews and feedback from his website.
We’ll be adding more companies who wish to engage appropriately with Boards.ie members over the coming months. They are not an advertising venue, they’re a service one. We don’t go out offering them, we accept requests and evaluate each individually. If they can provide great service, advice and information to our members, they’re sure to be popular. If not, we’d prefer to look at different, more useful ways for companies to get their message across.
If you have any feedback or suggestions on who you’d like to Talk to…, please do let us know.

What are the requirements for having a forum space on Talk to?
cheers
Hi Cian, thanks for the comment.
Basically it depends on the company or enquirer – who they are, what they do and whether Boards.ie members would actually want to Talk to them and find them useful/interesting/engaging.
We also expect those interacting to understand how the internet works, how customer service online works, how they are not in control of what people say about them and how it’s important to provide a great service, because this will represent them far better.
If there’s any way I can help you further, please do drop me a line at hello@boards.ie
